Expand a Bed is incredibly excited to announce a new community-driven initiative launched in February 2025: for every Expand a Bed sold, we donate a blanket to someone in need.
This campaign is deeply rooted in our core values — quality, service, and making a real, meaningful difference in the lives of those around us. At Expand a Bed, we believe comfort should be accessible to everyone — including those facing the harsh realities of life without stable housing.
In the United States, more than 650,000 people experience homelessness on any given night, and nearly 40% of them are unsheltered — sleeping in parks, under bridges, or in doorways without protection from the elements.
With every purchase, we donate a blanket to a charity or organization serving individuals experiencing homelessness. One of these organizations is Commonwealth Catholic Charities in Richmond, Virginia, pictured below. We believe direct action not only addresses immediate needs, but also fosters empathy and human connection.
As Expand a Bed grows, so will our reach. Our goal is to expand this initiative to cities across the country in the coming years, increasing our impact as our brand continues to grow.
